Measuring Posts

How to measure a post for a post cap:

Because we custom make our post caps, taking proper measurements is extremely important. We make our post caps slightly larger than the post measurements so they fit. However, when ordering, give the actual measurement of each post. We will add the appropriate amount so the cap fits properly.

   1) Determine the height of the sides of your post cap. Typical sizes are 1 1/2" or 2”, but we can make custom sizes. It mostly depends on your preference.

   2) Measure each post’s width and length. We recommend measuring all your posts as some could have different measurements. The width is the shorter measurement and the length tends to run the same direction as the fence. (See diagram)
